Getting his start by singing at church as a kid, winning his fifth-grade school talent show performing Justin Bieber’s “Baby” and more, Dalton Dover has been an artist to look out for within the music industry ever since a VERY young age.
Today, at just 23 years old, his career is skyrocketing!
With singles that are quickly climbing the charts AND performances at some of the biggest stages in the United States, such as the coveted Grand Ole Opry and Nissan Stadium, the country crooner has just barely scratched the surface of everything he has in store for country music-lovers around the world.
Even though he has TONS of new music on the horizon, Dalton’s most recent single is a song titled “I Wouldn’t Be Here,” which he released just in time for Mother’s Day this year.
“Every day in town, everybody’s writing either a heartbreak song [or] a sad song. I mean, one of the two is getting written every day, and I just wanted to do something different. I had a title on my phone for quite a while, and the title was, ‘I Wouldn’t Be Here If You Hadn’t Been There,’ and I was like, ‘Man, this title. It’s gotta be for my Mama,'” the emerging country artist dished.
“We sat down and we wrote it, and as soon as I got the demo back, I sat my mom in the car and showed it to her and it was really cool. That song was really special,” he concluded with a smile.
He even shared this once-in-a-lifetime moment on his Instagram and TikTok, where fans were able to have an inside look at Dalton’s more sincere side.
With his newest single aside, the Georgia native’s most popular song of all time is a track called “Giving Up On That,” which has been coined as his first-ever song at Country Radio (with many more to come).
“That song is just climbing. I think we’re at 48 right now on the charts, so I don’t know. I’m just super grateful that, you know, I have songwriters in the room with me that, you know, know great music and can help me make my songs perfect and stuff like that. It’s really cool,” the talented singer-songwriter gushed.
Teasing that he has been working on some new tunes, Dalton revealed to Celeb Secrets, “There’s quite a few songs I’m really excited about to get out there and for everybody to hear. I can’t really say them right now, but yeah, I’m excited.”
“I just wanna be Dalton… Whenever these songs come out, I think you’ll get the idea of, well, who I am,” and we are so excited to hear them for ourselves!

When asked how he channels his creativity in the writing room, Dalton shared that he “find[s] inspiration anywhere and everywhere,” primarily from “some personal experiences” with his children, his mother or his brother, respectively.
The budding country star revealed to Celeb Secrets that he is inspired by some other country artists as well, especially the back-to-back CMA Entertainer of the Year, Luke Combs.
“I really love Luke Combs. Like everything that he’s done, like his whole career… It’s not that I want to mimic it, but I’m just always like, I wanna do kind of what he did,” the 23-year-old revealed.
“That’s who I wanna be as a person, you know? I want my fans to be able to connect with me on a level where they’re not able to connect with anybody else… When they listen to one of my songs, I want them to be like, ‘Damn, I just went through that’ or ‘My buddy just went through that,’ you know, I want them to be able to relate to it,” he continued passionately.
Even though Dalton has been hard at work in the writing room as of late, he has some live performances lined up for the remainder of 2023 that are sure to be nothing short of incredible.
“We’re gonna hopefully be out on the road a lot,” the rising country artist dished. “I know we got a few dates with Parker McCollum coming up again. We got some Priscilla Block dates. Tyler Hubbard… we’re just racking them up.”
If you are wondering what really goes on at one of his electric shows, Dalton revealed to us that he “[tries] to bring all the energy that [he has].”
“We’re still learning, I think, to build moments in our show, but I think so far I think we’ve done a pretty good job at it… You can definitely expect a good time, especially if you’re drinking some cold beer or a twisted tea,” he shared with a smirk.
With dreams of “play[ing] the main stage next year at Nissan Stadium,” we know that Dalton Dover will have TONS of must-see shows in the near future, and we hope to catch one for ourselves.
