Laine Hardy has lent his musical talents to Katie Thurston’s journey to finding love on ABC’s The Bachelorette. The Louisiana-born artist delivered a live performance of his latest hit, “Memorize You,” on Katie’s one on one with contestant Blake Moynes.

The track was written by Michael TylerEric Arjes, and Steven Dale Jones, and produced by Michael Knox. Released May 2021, “Memorize You” is the perfect love song for a newly blooming romance.

“Yeah, I know we just met, but you’ve been in my head / Like a song since last night / Got your name at the bar, where you’re from, who you are / But what’s on my mind? / Is everything I don’t know / And everything I want to / Just give me some time with your smile / Baby, I wanna memorize you.”

The song accompanied Thurston and Moynes’ date perfectly, as the two have shown some pretty undeniable chemistry during this intimate performance.

American Songwriter reports that this opportunity was not one Hardy had seen coming but accepted with open arms. “I didn’t expect it at all, but I was definitely open to the opportunity of playing on The Bachelorette,” said Hardy. “When they mentioned it, I thought, ‘Really? Me?’ It was an amazing experience.”

And while playing on The Bachelorette may have been a first for Hardy, working with ABC is something the singer is no stranger to! Hardy is well known for winning American Idol in 2019.
