Happy New Music Friday, country fans!
Itâs time to turn your weekday frown upside down because itâs officially the weekend and we have some bangers for you. So, stir up your favorite cocktail because our favorite country stars just released your next go-to happy hour jam!
Coming in first and claiming number one on our New Music Friday playlist is the award-winning country trio Lady A with their potential chart-topping track âLike A Lady.â The girl-power anthem features Hillary Scott upfront and center showcasing her powerful chords, as Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood add guitar flourishes and background vocals. In honor of âWomen Appreciationâ month, Scott penned the track with Dave Barnes, Michelle Buzz, Martin Johnson, and Brandon Paddock.
âI feel my most confident when Iâm not trying too hard,â says Scott in a statement. âI love getting glammed up and all the fancy clothes, but when I feel the most âme,â itâs a lot more laid back â and I think thatâs a lot of us. You are your most authentic self in blue jeans with a tequila drink, ya know? As we were writing it, I was like â Itâs always been my dream to do a song that combines the things I love about Dolly Partonâs â9 to 5â and Shania Twainâs âMan! I Feel Like a Woman!â â two of the most strong, powerful female songs ever,â she adds.
âLike A Ladyâ is out now! đ Weâve written a lot of songs together over the last year that we canât wait to share, but when Hillary sent us this one, we knew we wanted to lead with it. We hope this song makes you want to get up, let loose and dance!! https://t.co/ENPxrO6aYV pic.twitter.com/GN4qITZBKl

Next up we have the man, the myth, the legend â Kenny Chesney, and his recently released music video for âKnowing You.â His pure and honest lyrics were brought to life in a breathtaking clip shot by respected director and longtime creative Shaun Silva in New England and St. Croix. Silva used imagery to help tell Chesneyâs love story.
âIf you listen, you can find the people you love in it. I wanted the video to have that, too. Itâs not about being on a fishing boat freezing, but this pain you feel â and also finding gratitude for knowing someone who changed your life,â shared the icon about his moving motion picture.
The Knowing You music video is out. One thing about this video I love is the way you can feel the settings. Whether in Gloucester, Mass. or the Virgin Islands, each location was selected because it feels the way these emotions actually feel. Watch here: https://t.co/7JzfAjfisH pic.twitter.com/2NiHOpynOS
