Levi Hummon is spilling the tea when it comes to his new single “Night Lights.”

Since its release earlier this year, the country tune has received over 1 million streams and has been added to multiple Spotify playlists including “New Music Nashville,” “Hot Country,” “New Boots,” and “Wild Country.”

“The song was written about Nashville honestly. We were Downtown and I thought to myself, ‘you know what would kind of a cool song? ”Night Lights,” Hummon shared with us. “I brought it to the co-write and they were like ‘night light, like lights in your room? You can’t write it like that.’ And I was like ‘No. Highway high beam cars, buzzing neon bars’ and I just had the rhyme as I was saying it and I was like, ‘oh, here’s the chorus.'”

In addition to playing multiple sets at the 2019 CMA Music Festival in Nashville last month, Hummon performed his original songs while on tour with Hunter Hayes earlier this summer. With 26 dates and 12 cities under his belt, the country crooner described the experience as “so special.”

We got to play at Disneyland twice on the tour and also played at Busch Gardens which was super fun,” he said. “I’m scared of rollercoasters so it wasn’t really fun for me, but fun for the band.”

With “Night Lights” at the top of his set list, Hummon was so excited to see fans enjoying the new track and singing along every night while on the road.

“We put ‘Night Lights’ out at the tip of the tour and it was fun seeing fans react more and more every night as the tour went on. It was meant to be a live song and it’s really turned out that way,” he continued.
