Morgan Wallen is raising his glass to something good, as his song “Whiskey Glasses” has officially gone No. 1!

Appearing on Wallen’s Top 10 album debut, If I Know Me, the smooth burning anthem marks his first Hot Country Songs #1 – following the PLATINUM-certified success of hooky single “Up Down” (featuring Florida Georgia Line) that hit #5 on the Hot Country Songs chart and led the Country Airplay chart in the same week, becoming his first Country radio #1. The song is currently inside the Top 5 at Country radio and still climbing.

“‘Up Down’ was my last song and it went number one,” Wallen told us backstage at the iHeartCountry Festival in Austin this month. “I started to feel a little pressure with ‘Whiskey Glasses’ — like I need to do good with this song too — and it’s really nice t see that it is.”

Written by Ben Burgess and Kevin Kadish, the undeniable single comes in as the #2 current Country song in overall consumption this week, and has also garnered more than 173 million digital streams globally, helping push Wallen’s career total over the 829 million streams mark and drive his exhilarating concerts.

Next up for the chart-topper is an opening slot on Florida Georgia Line’s massive CAN’T SAY I AIN’T COUNTRY TOUR, which kicks off June 13 in Rogers, AR.

“What makes me country is probably just the way I was raised,” he said when we asked about the upcoming tour. “I was born in Sneedville, Tennessee, and there’s like two red lights there for no reason. I would say that’s good enough.”
