It’s been a minute since we heard from Chase Bryant. Since touring the nation in arenas across the nation with Brad Paisley, the 24-year-old has taken some time to really figure out who he is and continue his true passion — making music — without all of the flashy things that come with it.
“Touring [with Brad Paisley] was great. We spent a good part of almost two years out there and it was a blast,” Chase told us during a quick chat after his performance at the 2018 CMA Music Festival. “It’s good to be friends with a guy who is an incredible guitar player, great singer-songwriter, and artist. It was a lot of fun to be out there with a guy you’ve looked up to for so many years.”
“We were always pranking each other [on tour],” he continued. “The last night they reenacted the Lady and the Tramp scene. Like the last night we were on stage, they stole our gear in the middle of our show and it got really weird for a while. We were always pranking each other, doing something to each other so it was a lotta, lotta fun.”

Back in March, Chase posted a lengthy letter to his Instagram account saying he “let success get to his head” and he wants to go back to being himself.
“In my early 20’s I had witnessed my first Top 10 single followed by a Top 5. By no means had I shattered records by a landslide, changed the world, or even changed as much as the street as I was living on,” he shared on Instagram. “In my head I thought I did. I thought I had done something that was never supposed to happen to a guy like me. I let it all go to my head like I swore it never would.”
“Following this, I had two songs that just didn’t necessarily work as we all hoped and planned,” he added. “All of a sudden I wake up and realize with good can come troubling times. I accepted that there was a road I was supposed to be traveling that I wasn’t at the time.”
“I want to be more honest than I ever had the guts to be,” he finished. “I’ve been spending a lot of time in the studio these past few months cutting music that I am so thrilled about, and to just simply be a part of! To say I’m ready for you to hear this would be an understatement.”
The material Chase has been creating in the studio is touted to be his best yet. Some songs he’s working with other writers and producers, other he’s co-producing, and some he’s even producing solo.
“I’ve been [working] for about a year. I had a lot of self-rediscovering to do and I was in a weird emotional state with music. It wasn’t in a bad way. I just really wanted to figure out what it was I wanted to do. I felt like I sort of gotten eaten up by the monster of Nashville for a minute and I just needed to re-evaluate it. So we’ve been cutting new music and finishing the record, so hopefully within this year we will have a full length record out.”
While we don’t have a release date yet, we know that Chase Bryant’s full-length album will definitely be one for the books!
