Celeb Secrets Country: What can we expect to see from you in this upcoming year?

Boo Ray: “I’m playing a bunch of dates in support to the “Redneck Rock & Roll” single. Also, I just finished recording a new record which will be out this year too. The new record and “Sea Of Lights” are coming out on 12″ vinyl along with a couple of 7″ singles. I’ve got my work cut out for me this year for sure.”

Celeb Secrets Country: What do you see as being your biggest accomplishment so far?

Boo Ray: “Well, I sang the Opry with Marshall Chapman and that was an epic life changing experience which I’m forever grateful for.  Also, releasing records as an indie artist is a pretty big undertaking in it’s self. I’m real darned proud to be in the band that I’ve got. These cats are among the very best players anywhere and it takes a lot of work to perform at that level. So I’m proud of that work I do with my band, and releasing these records. That’s what it’s really all about right?”

Celeb Secrets Country: Tell us about one of your favorite fan stories!

Boo Ray: “I was playing a show in South Georgia and this 12 year old kid walked up to me when I was done and said “hey man, gimme your hat!” He was real confident and I didn’t really have a choice. So I took the trucker hat off my head and handed it to him and he said “you’re gonna sign the darned thing aren’t ya!””

Celeb Secrets Country: What is your favorite song at the moment?

Boo Ray: “Eric Church‘s song “Kill A Word” is really great and has my attention. Believe it or not I got hooked on that Rihanna song “Work”. But at this very moment I’ve got Willie NelsonMerle Haggard‘s “Poncho & Lefty” on repeat.”
