Logan Crosby is ready to show the world the artist he truly is!

The Claim To Fame star — whose literal claim to fame is being country superstar Jason Aldean‘s cousin — is releasing his debut EP 23 Days in LA next Friday (July 14), which is guaranteed to show fans worldwide that he’s more than just a famous person’s relative.

Last summer, the 22-year-old native competed on ABC’s addictive reality TV series Claim To Fame, where he along with other famous celebrity relatives would compete for a cash prized based on who can keep their true identity sealed. Crosby made it to the final two, where L.C. — who is actually Keke Palmer‘s sister — correctly guessed his identity and won the competition.

Since his time on the show, Logan has been hard at work in the recording studio releasing singles like “If Jesus Was A Cowboy,” If You Ask Me,” “After All,” “Everybody’s Drunk,” “Hold Onto Me” and “Breakin’ In This Broken Heart” to gear fans up for his first-ever project that he says is the story that’s as old as time.

“Two people fall in love and one person’s more in love with the other and they fall out of love,” Crosby tells Celeb Secrets Country host Juliet Schroder in an exclusive interview in Nashville during CMA Fest 2023 early last month. “It’s actually based on a true story too, which is a little bit, you know, as an artist is kind of nerve wracking. But it’s gonna be cool and I hope that everybody likes it.”

Revealing that his first-ever project includes some of his favorite songs he’s ever written, Logan tells Celeb Secrets Country that the process entailed a lot of hard work, however, he loved every minute of it.

“Putting out singles is awesome, but making a project has been a lot of fun. It’s been hard work, but I’ve love doing it,” he says. “Every little thing down to the pictures, down to, you know, the graphics which you’re posting on Instagram, is all calculated and I’ve had so much fun doing it. It’s been one of my favorite things I’ve done since I’ve started doing music.”

Fans got a taste of what they can expect from Logan’s debut EP when he released “Run Away With You” last Friday (June 30). The song stays true to his roots of putting out traditional country music, however, Logan likes to call his new project “neotraditional” thanks to his wide range of influences.

“I grew up in an era where we all had iPads and iPods and listened to whatever music we wanted to. My poor Apple Music didn’t know what the hell I was doing. I was listening to Adele and then Jason Aldean, but I was also listening to Ludacris. It’s all over the place,” he recalls with a smile. “And so, you know, kind of drawing from all kinds of different aspects of music is kind of how I think we keep it fresh. My music is very traditional country music — or neotraditional I guess you’d call it — but kind of pulling in from everybody and kind of pulling in from all kinds of stuff.”

In addition to making music, Crosby has been busy traveling the nation with Megan Moroney as direct support for her headlining The Lucky Tour, which will resume in New York City at The Bowery Ballroom on September 20. With many of the venues selling out within minutes, Crosby will join Moroney in major cities and iconic venues coast-to-coast, including a first-time appearance Joe’s on Weed St. in Chicago, The Troubadour in Los Angeles, Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, TX and more.

“It was kind of cool to be on my first tour and see all of the different rooms, a bunch of cool college towns, and a lot of places I’ve never been to that I eventually wanna go back to,” Logan says of his experience with Megan. “It was so cool just being out on the road and seeing how everything works. It was three weekends and an absolute sprint to the finish, but we had a lot of fun.”

And after being on the road for three weekends straight, Logan can confidently say that being a singer/songwriter is exactly where he wants to be in life.

“I learned that I can run off of about four hours of sleep if need be and that I love a Bucky’s,” he laughs. “I’m young, I just got outta college. I like to go out and have fun, but when you’re on the road as a professional, you have to sit down and actually do your job. I’ve learned from a young age that this is something I wanna do for the rest of my life, but after being out on the road, I’ve seen that this is something that you actually have to put a lot behind.”

“I think a lot of my friends are like, ‘oh, you get to go out there every night and just have a lot of fun,’ but we actually take it really seriously. As an artist, everything we do from songs in the set list to how the merch looks and how everything’s set up is very tedious and calculated. It’s been a lot of fun to kind of be able to do that kind of stuff. It is a job at the end of the day, but we’re having fun doing it.”
