On the heels of announcing their North American Obsessed Tour, Warner Bros. Records/Warner Music Nashville’s Dan + Shay have announced that all of their U.K. shows scheduled for next month have sold out. These shows mark the Platinum-selling recording duo’s first time performing in the U.K.
“We were so pumped to hear the news that our entire run of U.K. shows have sold out!” said Dan Smyers. “We love our fans overseas and it’s been a dream of ours to be able to perform live for them.”
The pair look forward to performing songs from their critically acclaimed sophomore album, Obsessed, including “From The Ground Up,” the album’s impactful first song which just earned RIAA Gold certification and hit No. 1 on both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Charts. Joining Dan + Shay on these dates will be U.K.-based country group, Pauper Kings.
“’From The Ground Up’ is the most personal song we have ever written, and to have it be so well embraced by country radio and our fans is a dream come true,” Shay Mooney added. “We wrote the song about our grandparents, and they would be proud of this accomplishment.”
Dan + Shay’s recently released album Obsessed follows their 2014 debut Where It All Began, which made them the first new country duo in SoundScan-recorded history to debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Albums Chart. The pair recently announced the Obsessed Tour with 15 dates across the U.S. and Canada this November and December.
